 Monday Movie Maddness

I am a pretty regular movie watcher, whether it’s new movies or old ones… so I will talk about some of the movies I have watched recently.

Movie Maddness By  Kristi

I have been making my roommate watch all the little kid movies I watched when I was little. We have watched The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, and The Neverending Story. I love all of these movies because

A.      they came from books

B.      they are more serious then kid movies now-a-days

C.      they are pretty much timeless classics

I’m not gonna lie… The Neverending Story weirded her out pretty good… I mean it is a weird movie with weird characters, but I sure did like it when I was little. It’s not your typical happy-go-lucky children’s movie… it’s scary, sad, intense, and suspenseful, but also has somewhat of a happy ending.

 But she did looove The Secret Garden and A Little Princess. Those movies are intense for children too, but I think that’s why kids love them so much because you get sucked in and you begin to really care about the characters.

On The Big Screen:

Immortals – I think this movie looks good, but I think it may end up trying too hard to be like 300… so I’m afraid I won’t like it… but I still want to see it.

Jack and Jill – yikes… I’m sorry Adam Sandler fans… and I looooove Adam Sandler, but I also think he’s trying too hard to make funny movies like he used to… I don’t think I will be seeing this one…  but if YOU do let me know if it is funny because then I will have to check it out!

 J. Edgar – oh man I want to see this movie so bad! I love historical movies, and also Leo DiCaprio… he is a great actor and I think this movie looks awesome.

 Footloose – I still have never seen the original (I know, I know… shameful), but I plan to one day. I want to see this movie because the original is such an iconic classic, and it also got good reviews.

Real Steel – When I saw the trailer for this movie I got reeeeally excited. But then I saw all the robots… sigh… I thought Hugh Jackman was going to be fighting… because I looove him. Oh and Also Evangeline Lily from Lost… I loved her on that show. I have heard really good things about this movie so I will definitely try to watch it. 

A movie I am excited about:

Twilght: Breaking Dawn -  Not gonna lie… I’m excited about Breaking Dawn… I know it will be cheesy and full of bad acting… but I can’t help it… I love Twilght!!
